What is Freeform
Freeform is an app with an infinite canvas where you may write, draw, insert images, and link to external files and websites. You and your associates can use the Apple Pencil to draw diagrams, scribble notes, and more on an iPad, and instantly see each other’s changes as you make them. For instance, when I drew on an iPad and simultaneously accessed the same Freeform canvas on a Mac, I could watch my strokes emerge on Mac’s screen in real-time. I inquired as to the utility of this information from a professional fashion stylist acquaintance of mine.
Visual references, like mood boards, are frequently produced by stylists in tandem with their clients.
In particular, she appreciated being able to share canvases with clients and drag images from the web into the app on the spot.
The limitless canvas allows for endless creativity. If you overestimate the size of the area you need to cover when drawing a map, you’ll never run out of paper. It’s nice to be able to jump right in when drawing designs of anything without having to do any preliminary planning. When you don’t have access to a blank wall or a supply of pushpins and red rope, it’s also useful for brainstorming, scrapbooking, and trip planning using images, links, maps, and reviews. It couldn’t be better.
Compatible Devices
Freeform whiteboard app is compatible with the Mac, iPhone, and iPad, so you shouldn’t have any problems sharing and collaborating with family members who also use Apple products. No one in the office will be able to use it if they have a Chromebook, Android phone, or Windows computer. The issue with Apple’s closed ecosystem is that it breaks down when additional hardware is added. Apple does make exceptions on occasion, such as when they released iTunes for Windows so that iPods and iPhones could be used on that operating system.
Like my stylist buddy, you may want to work with clients whose computing configurations are unknown, in which case Freeform is out of the question. If anything, she will probably look elsewhere once she learns about these apps.
Is Apple Freeform WhiteBoard App Better Alternative?
It’s not only that one can look elsewhere. One can find better ones. For instance, Microsoft’s Whiteboard software can be downloaded as a Windows, Android, or iOS app (but not a Mac). “Microsoft’s Whiteboard software is similar to Freeform in many ways, but it’s available on many more devices. Furthermore, it has been around for a while, making it more likely to be well-known and established “Alaa Negeda, a corporate software specialist, emailed Lifewire about this. In addition, “Microsoft Whiteboard is far more flexible than Freeform.”
